MANFRED SUTER-WILDLIFE PHOTOGHRAPHY
Where nature sets the rules.

“In the wild, there is no script. As a photographer, I am merely a silent observer in the vast landscapes of our planet. On my website, you’ll find portraits of animals in their natural habitats and scenes that show just how powerful – and yet how worthy of protection – our environment is. Come in and discover the wild side of the world.”
Wild Zimbabwe
A journey through a land of contrasts. In Gonarezhou National Park, we experienced the untamed wildness of the red sandstone cliffs, followed by the mystical silence of the Vumba Hills with their rare mountain birds. The trip concluded with the historically rich heritage of Great Zimbabwe. For a limited time, you will find my most recent photos from this intense expedition in these categories.
Punda Maria: The Phantom with the Flag Feathers
The far north of Kruger National Park is known for its rarities, but this encounter surpasses them all: In Punda Maria, we managed to exclusively document the Flagtail Nightjar. With its majestic, long flight feathers in perfect light, these photographs are perhaps the best ever taken of this rare bird. A photographic highlight.
Lesotho - Kingdom under the sky
From the steep switchbacks of the Sani Pass to the lonely highlands – Lesotho was an experience of extremes. We documented the untamed freedom of the mountains and the sweeping panoramic views. In this report, we take you to the highest passes in southern Africa and show you the wilderness from a completely new perspective.
